The Middle Tennessee Radio Controlled Clubs Association (MTRCCA) kicked off 2024 with a fantastic event at the Middle Point Flyers field. The sunny skies welcomed a record-breaking turnout, with 36 pilots and their enthusiastic guests gathering for a day of camaraderie and aerial acrobatics.
All five member clubs of the MTRCCA were well-represented, showcasing a diverse range of aircraft. From graceful sailplanes serenely carving the thermals to high-powered jets screaming past the runway, the event offered something for every aviation enthusiast. Spectators were treated to a dazzling display of flying styles, with pilots demonstrating everything from smooth aerobatics and mind-bending 3D maneuvers to heart-pounding speed runs.
A huge thank you goes to the Middle Point Flyers for their gracious hosting, the MTRCCA for their skillful organization, and most importantly, to the incredible pilots who brought "the right stuff" and made the event a soaring success!
